Bedrock flatbed truck beds have built a strong reputation in Texas for their heavy-duty steel construction, thoughtful design, and impressive standard feature list. Star Truck Equipment in Wharton, TX carries Bedrock flatbeds and serves buyers across South Texas, the Houston area, and the Victoria corridor.

Bedrock Flatbed Models

Bedrock produces two main flatbed platforms that we carry at Star Truck Equipment:

Bedrock Granite Series Flatbed

The Bedrock Granite is Bedrock’s flagship flatbed — built from 3/16″ A36 steel formed sections with 3″ structural channel crossmembers on 16″ centers. The Granite is available in widths from 84″ to 96″ and lengths from 7’4″ to 9’4″, making it compatible with most F-250 through F-550 and Ram 2500 through Ram 5500 platforms. Standard features include LED lighting, powder-coat finish, headboard, and lockable toolboxes. The Granite also offers an integrated gooseneck ball and safety chain pockets as a standard feature — not an upcharge like some competitors.

Bedrock Diamond Series Flatbed

The Bedrock Diamond series is Bedrock’s premium aluminum flatbed option — built from heavy-wall aluminum extrusions for buyers who want to save weight without sacrificing strength. The Diamond is particularly popular with buyers who regularly hit GVWR limits on their truck, where reducing body weight translates directly to more legal payload. The Diamond is available for F-350, F-450, Ram 3500, and Ram 4500 DRW platforms.

Bedrock Flatbed Truck Fitment

Bedrock flatbeds are engineered to fit both SRW and DRW configurations. At Star Truck Equipment, the most common Bedrock fitments we handle include:

  • Ford F-350 DRW — Granite Series 94″–96″ wide, 8’4″–9’4″ long
  • Ford F-450 DRW — Granite Series full size, often with gooseneck
  • Ram 3500 DRW — Granite Series, popular with ranchers and hay haulers
  • Ram 4500/5500 — Larger Granite configurations for cab-chassis
  • Ford F-250 SRW — Granite Series 84″–88″ wide for lighter-duty applications

Why Buyers Choose Bedrock Flatbeds

In conversations with our customers, a few things consistently come up about Bedrock:

  • Steel quality and fit/finish — Bedrock uses quality A36 steel and their powder-coat application is consistently good
  • Standard features included — Gooseneck ball, safety chain pockets, and LED lights are standard — not add-ons
  • Tread plate options — Bedrock offers tread plate deck surface as a standard option on Granite builds
  • Price-to-value ratio — Bedrock is competitively priced against CM and Bradford Built for similar specs
